The Samaritan Ministries of The Temple Church was born out of a vision from God based upon the teachings of Jesus in the parable of the “Good Samaritan.”  This outreach ministry provides a way for Christians to “Reach up to God by reaching out to humanity.”

Samaritan Ministries is designed to provide relief, positive assistance, and to improve the quality of life of despairing people in North Nashville.  Samaritan Ministries fosters a renewal of spirit and hope, and self-esteem.

Samaritan Ministries program facets include the following:

1. Nutritional Support – Hot lunches high in nutrition are served daily Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m.
2. Medical-Dental Assistance – Currently Medical and Dental screening are scheduling every Wednesday
3. Clothing Distribution – The clothing bank is open Monday through Friday for all clients in need (free of cost)
4. Social Services Referrals – This program component is designed to provide relief and positive assistance to hungry, unemployed, disabled and elderly clients who need assistance with food, utilities, housing, and jobs.
