CHILDREN & YOUTH CENTERThe Center, adjacent to the Temple Church campus, was purchased by The Temple Church in 1999 and given to the Children & Youth Ministry. The purpose of the facility is:
- To evangelize the lost
- To promote Christian fellowship
- To explore, apply and celebrate the Word of Christ
- To challenge young people by giving them the opportunity to express themselves and their creativity in their relationship with God and the community.
MISSIONIt is our responsibility to refine our gems (Students) into God’s most precious stone: (Using the Fruit of the Spirit) to show love by doing service. Our Children and Youth are like special gems, shaped differently with a variety of colors, covered with debris, found in strange and unusual places. They are just “diamonds in the rough”.
GOALThe goal of the Children & Youth Ministry is to provide guidance for developing leaders from our Children and Youth. As a result, THEY WILL DEVELOP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE ABOUT THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
OBJECTIVES
- To become involved in community projects and activiites
- To develop personal Spiritual growth
- To lend support where needed
- To put our children and youth in the spotlight
- To develop strategies for success in the world of business
- To give instruction on how to develop true friendships
- To develop self respect and respect for others
- To participate in Christian sports and other recreational activities
